1.2782 - ZF2 steel:

1.2782 – ZF2 steel is a high alloyed steel with austenitic microstructure that has an excellent scale and corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength.

The most common applications for steel type 1.2782 – ZF2
 
  • Upper and lower sections of glass moulds, high output with best surface quality of the glass (crystal lustre), gathering irons, mouthpieces and blowing pipes in the glass industry.
  • Fittings for furnace construction, such as rollers, rails, axles.
  • Equipment for heat treating companies.

Quenched, i.e. ready for use with the following properties:

0,2% yield strength Rp0,2 = ≥ 230 MPa

Tensile strength Rm= 550 – 800 MPa

Tinder resistance up to approx. 1150 °C

Heat treatment

Soft annealing Temperature: 1050 – 1100 °C
Cooling: water
